1969 Camaro Rally Sport LM1 Project
This is a pretty rare car as only about 10,000 LM1 equipped Camaros were built in 1969. The RS option makes it even more scarce. The LM1 engine was a 350/255 horse 4 barrel carb. Most LM1 cars received a 12 bolt rear and were also identified with a chrome air cleaner lid.
It's an original California car with the original Black/Yellow plates and a pink slip dated 1971. This car has been off the road since the late 70's. Back then it was stripped of its exterior trim and repainted but never put back together again. The odometer shows 63,000 miles and I believe it might be correct due to the originality of the engine compartment and the front seats which show little wear. The original HS code engine (T350 auto trans) has probably never been removed and retains the original alternator and the original radiator is still in the car as well. The original 12 bolt has never been out. It was originally Olympic Gold with a medium Green standard interior. Options include factory air, power steering, RS option, LM1, and vinyl top (which was removed when the car was repainted). The body has a few minor dents from sitting around so long. There are rust bubbles in the right rear quarter behind the wheel and a little behind the left rear wheel. Each front fender has just a few little spots at the lower corners. The trunk pan and floor pans have a few pin holes. Perfect doors, roof, dash, firewall, window channels, etc. All of the Rally Sport equipment is there including the headlight washer system. New front and rear glass have just been installed. $14,500 Gregg 760-802-9376 https://www.yenko.net/attachments/use...1-p1000467.jpg https://www.yenko.net/attachments/use...2-p1000470.jpg https://www.yenko.net/attachments/use...3-p1000468.jpg https://www.yenko.net/attachments/use...4-p1000472.jpg https://www.yenko.net/attachments/use...5-p1000393.jpg |
Re: 1969 Camaro Rally Sport LM1 Project
It's actually a dark green interior and most of the trim is in the trunk.
Here is a pic of the engine stamp. https://www.yenko.net/attachments/use...7-p1000390.jpg |

Re: 1969 Camaro Rally Sport LM1 Project
That should be an easy project. Have you checked for the broadcast sheet?

Re: 1969 Camaro Rally Sport LM1 Project
I did pull the tank and a partial broadcast sheet was there. Unfortunately, not very legible.

Re: 1969 Camaro Rally Sport LM1 Project
Is the original spare with the car, and if so, is it black or painted to match the car?
Stamp looks good. G/L RichPern |
