Today was my first day at my new job. I hung up my refrigeration gauges and became an employee at Blast From the Past Street Rods in Pottstown! Wooo Hooo!

Congrats! I always thought I'd end up owning my own shop or working for a builder. I guess that will have to wait til retirement....

That is killer. I remember a summer job working at a Vette shop one college summer. Had to fix a brake pull on a 427 car and the boss tolm em to take it for a good 20 minute ride and make sure I got it right. I think you'll enjoy this job even more!

Time will tell guys. I can't seem to get the cars out of my blood. All the pictures I have posted, over the years, have been on my spare time.

My first job was on a 37 Chevy Business Coupe. I thought my VW Golf was cramped on the inside....geeez. Hopefully they will allow me to share some cool stuff with everyone? Most of you have already seen what I can do. This shop has produced some neat stuff. Never thought I would be appreciating the street rods as much as I'm starting to.

Good luck. Having a job you enjoy is a great thing to have. I think you'll do just fine. No better time to follow that dream, as none of us are gettin any younger.

Just tell em that they need to get more Novas in the shop. (big smile)

My first week is in the bag at Blast From The Past Street Rods! They are already finding out that I have a lot to offer their business. It makes me feel great that some people can appreciate my knowledge and talents. That you all for your support!

Re: New Job!

The owner asked me I had a lot to offer and I said YES. ALL of you know that. I have already shared some of my experiences with owners and the company appreciated it. I have never gotten that recognition from any company before. It made me realize that I am dealing with a great owner and team. One customer has already told me to listen to what they have to teach me because he is very happy with the quality of work that they do for him. Makes me feel good that I am at the right place.

Jed!..........Everyone go's thru that period of their life where as youngsters we are learning and gathering "Experience" in our work career.....Hopefully it's actually something we can enjoy also..........Seems you have hit the "Sweet Spot" and actually have a boss that understands.......And......because he understands and Appreciates your skills means that "He" has been there.........I'll bet your Boss never had anything given to him and did it all on his own........."The best kind".....Good Luck, but I don't think you will need any Luck........Just the Skills and Dedication you have acquired...
