Re: Butternut Yellow SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan
That's a beauty - how many miles on the car? What are you going to do to the car?
|
Re: Butternut Yellow SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan
Are they they "After" pictures? That car looks nice just as it sits.

Re: Butternut Yellow SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan
Butternut Yellow.....I like it. How many of that color are in your registry Dan?

Re: Butternut Yellow SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan
Very nice car Dan,that is such a great color, looks good on a Chevelle.
|
Re: Butternut Yellow SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan
John has owned this very rare SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan since 1984, he has the orignal "Bill of Sale" and "Broadcast Sheet".
John has done a wonderful job of restoring the car. This Chevelle is currently the only Butternut Yellow Chevelle in my Registry. This Chevelle will be debuted at the 2012 MCACN IV. I will be installing a complete SMS interior. Dan |

Re: Butternut Yellow SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan
There is a original owner BY 68 Chevelle L35 4 spd with 35k miles here in Greenville, they also have the Grenada Gold 70 Judge they bought new with less than 25k miles, still smells new, it's in a car bag.

Sweet PST also love that rubber mat too!.
Another site member and I were looking at this below ad for a '69 Beaumont Post car last week.. No it's not an SD original BB car but any '69 Beaumont Post is a rare find compared to the same in a '68 and chances are pretty good this one for sale now may be THE best '69 left?. http://www.autotrader.ca/result/addetail...;stfID=10246070 ~ Pete |
Re: Butternut Yellow SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan
Pete,
You are correct, these Beaumont Post Sedan`s are very rare! Thanks for sharing. Dan |
Re: Butternut Yellow SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan
Hello! I just signed up to this forum, and wanted to say I love it! I have been reviewing all the threads and this appears to be the best site out there for Chevy Supercars.
My dad had a Butternut Yellow 1969 that he bought new, but not an SS . |

Welcome Adam12, please fill in the rest of your profile. We would like to know your name, that is if you`d like us to know your name
Super Bee`s are very cool Mopars! Dan |
Re: Butternut Yellow SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan
Done and done! Sorry about that, I thought I filled everything in. I have a couple friends with Chevelles (1970 SS396 and a 1967 SS396), and another friend with a 1970 Z/28 in pieces.
What drew me here was the Supercar Reunion coverage in a magazine, and this looks like a great site. My Bee's are : 1971 440 6-pack 4-speed, and 1969 440 6-pack auto. |
Re: Butternut Yellow SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan
You're not the only closet Mopar guy here...

Re: Butternut Yellow SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan
I came out of the Mopar closet decades ago!!

Re: Butternut Yellow SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan
Good to know! There are actually some closet Chevy guys on the Mopar site I sometimes visit, mostly Corvette owners. I'm a B-Body man myself but I like the E-Bodies too.

Re: Butternut Yellow SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan
Sorry for hijacking this thread into the Beaumont world but I'd sure like to think/hope the above Post was an original paint top car!.
Again the '68 Beaumont Posts were never plentiful here in Canada either but any B-Pillar '69 has always been a much rarer sighting and one in as good a condition as this one looks a truly tasty find...especially these days!!! Even just imagining this car w/ it's bench back in place, a Mk.1V lump and bumpy hood added w/ contrasting color painted top and steelies/dog dish caps feels G D!!! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...P1010052-4.jpg Even though this is a very late built Chevelle and could have been born with the later "Smooth" rear ash trays, we opted for the Early Cool "Ribbed" rear ash trays. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...P1010083-2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...P1010042-4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...P1010044-3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...P1010043-3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...P1010041-4.jpg Dan |

Bruce,
That really would have been nice to find, but she is already documented with Bill of Sale and Broadcast Sheet. Dan |

Looks great Dan. Really pops. Is that the car's original floor mat?
