Thanks for the kind words! I also believe it is a bargain at the price! I have had a few of the 67 Shelby GT 500's and it is the best running, driving car I have ever had the pleasure to own!

As mentioned in the ad, it does come with the original and complete matching #'s Factory AUTOMATIC Transmission. I chose to leave the car as is with a period CORRECT Top Loader 4 speed, and let the new owner decide. Presently, I feel its the best of both worlds (Stick or Factory Auto!) The original Trans is in a crate, ready to go with the car. Thanks again. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif

You have to look at all the pictures for the eBay auction, and it is noted several times in there.

Muscle is continually going to multinationals... overseas buyers are becoming a common theme in the muscle car world. Expanding their territory for sure!

It's all about the devalued dollar... the export markets are busy, very busy... compared to a few years back our goods are 30% cheaper...
The US paper mills are able to deliver Linerboard (for making corrugated cartons) to Northern Europe for less than the Chinese mills...
I would have expected with the recent dilution of half a trillion dollars (Frannie, Freddie, AIG) we would get rampant inflation and make exports even cheaper for foreign buyers, however it seems like nearly all the Central Banks increased their money supplies keeping them all "more in balance".

Will this result in an increased interest in collectable muscle cars? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

If it continues it will decrease our "local" supply of available cars to us,most likely making us all have to add import fees to our purchases in the near future, among other things.

Could... although it seems like quite a few overseas markets are feeling the problems of all the CDO's and SIV's our equity markets unloaded as well. When Warren Buffett declines to step in because according to the oracle himself he does not understand how to figure out what he would be buying you know there is a problem. The complexity of the CDO's and the bundled loans which have been split apart repackaged and resold OVER OVER OVER OVER is going to take years to figure out... some of the prospectus' were of enormous length... were they scrutinized with other than a glance?

I talked to a guy last night who said his mortgage seems like it changes hands every month... Since when did churn ever make money for anyone other than the traders?
I have said for the last year that there are going to be ASTRONOMICAL amounts of money made out of this, the financial intitutions are gun shy with loans, (even overnight loans to other banks), until the mortgage backed securities can be accurately valued the credit markets have been on hold.

The problem really is not the realestate it is valuing the loans on the realestate vs the property value. No one until this point had been willing to take a position and say I will buy at $X. So the banks and investment houses were just writing the debt down sometimes to $0... when the debt is backed by a tangible asset(realestate) which has value it seems dropping value on the books to $0 is just as an irrational decision as blindly buying them. Herd mentality will kill almost any company leveraged as much as some of these companies...
So the government became a Market Maker in the unmarketable CDO market which should enable banks to loan to one another without balance sheet worries.
If the government doesn't hold all the paper they just bough and instead sell it to private equity groups etc then WE the TAXPAYER are goign to get SCREWED... however if they hold the mortgages and let the market absorb the supply at a steady rate with the banks no longer having to worry about valuing the assets the taxpayers should break even and could make money on the deal.

Awesome SHELBY!
Sorry bout the tangent...

It already has! Just this week sent a car to Switzerland, Australia, and now to Finland. I am becoming very selective selling overseas and wont if I have local interest.

The only part that bothers me about overseas sales is that these cars are rare and hard to find as it is. I wonder what it will be like for future generations. Will we be buying them back? Will the teenagers today want these cars? I know my son will but he has grown up with them. Interesting topic! The topic can be "HIGH JACKED" as car is sold?! Thanks

Your gonna see a big demand for the foreign body parts to rebuild a lot of Big named muscle cars to keep up with the demand if they start bringing big $$$$ --- NOS, what's that ? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif

if the United States economy continues on this horrible path, would you rather have a constant sale to overseas buyers or would you rather hold onto a car for an extended period of time just to find a buyer state side.

For those of us in the business of buying and selling muscle, I think the answer is obvious.
