L78/LS6 EEC Emissions System
Hi All,
We're looking for more information on the '70 LS6/L78 EEC system including the coal canisters, rubber lines, and others. Does anyone have survivor photos they can post or share? Thanks, Dan Relevant links below: https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthread.php?p=672044 https://nastyz28.com/threads/70-vapor-canister.79099/ |

Dan, in all likelihood you have seen these original photos before but for the benefit of others, these show some pretty good detail. Note also the NA9 decal on the top radiator cover plate in the middle. These were yellow.

Special charcoal can top for the Holley bowl vent line. Hard to find part.

Unfortunately I never took a close up of the sticker. Most all of the decals came with the car from the owner before Mark. NA9 was listed on the buildsheet but if memory serves me correctly the 2 letter code for the decal was not shown on the BS.

One of the Yenko.net members bought the car, correct Rick?
Maybe he can post a picture? |

Hello. I own the 1970 Z28 that rick restored for mark and here's a current shot of that decal. Going to post a few more pictures of Ricks restoration, engine shots 10 years after. Rick Nelson is all that and some.

Rick - did you restore to function (if it did anything originally??) or did you restore the system to look correct but it is functionless. Similar to rebuilding a smog/AIR system as non-operational? Thanks, Dan |
Dan, go Non Functional, sacrilege to choke an SHP L78 like that! I know it will "look" perfect
