HOTELS For MCACN November 20-21, 2021

Lots of people asking about hotel availability for the upcoming MCACN show, Npvember 20-21, 2021.

As many of you know, we work VERY hard to get great deals at several area hotels that are convenient to the show. The DoubleTree has always been "party central" and sells out first, and the Embassy Suites is a very close second. With all the pent up demand, we have also sold out the Crowne Plaza and even the new for this year Hilton. Over 2,000(!) room nights booked!

NOT TO WORRY; I expanded our room blocks at both the aLOft, which is right behind the Crowne Plaza and the Hyatt, which is connected directly to the convention center via the enclosed overhead walkway. The rates are good and they both provide reduced rate parking, free internet and additional extra perks for our MCACN participants and spectators.

I highly recommend using our DIRECT LINKS to book your rooms. Often when calling you are sent to the call centers and may get the wrong information. Here is the link to book your rooms now: https://www.mcacn.com/hotels

Please note: we do not have any "extra" or hidden rooms at the DT, Embassy, Crowne or Hilton!

We are geared up and ready and the entire Rosemont community is anxious to welcome us back.

Can't wait to get back at it and make up for :lost" time!

Glad you got these added, Bob. I was going to do the 24 hours of LeMans and drive down, leaving at midnight and then home again after the show.
I booked 2 rooms as this will give and my friend, Terry, and me time to mingle afterward and then stay the night.
THANKS !!!

I waited to long and couldn't get into our normal hotel and will have to settle with the Hyatt this year.

You won't be alone! We have nearly doubled the amount of rooms booked at the Hyatt this year!

Hey we'll try it!!! Our only downfall is now the wife will have to drive over to the mall. Not really a big deal.

Maybe I will bump into someone from here then??

Call a cab or lyft to the mall. No worries about driving, parking or parking fee, if applicable.

Actually, Rosemont runs a non stop shuttle that loops and can take her right from the Convention Center to the mall entrance. And if the weather is decent, it is just a few blocks away.

Don't forget to give her the cc!

I stayed at the Hyatt in 2019 and I thought it was just fine. You can take the skywalk to the convention center from that hotel.
I am at the Double Tree this year.

The DoubleTree, aka MCACN Party Central and home of Dru's Lounge....

Although over the past several years it appears that all six of the Official Host Hotels have become MCACN Party Central!

Brings up a question if people on here are going to meet up somewhere and get introduced ?

I plan to be there at opening Sat morn, if there is a coffee clutch planned.

In the past several of the members have arranged a set time to "meet and greet" and also having name tags identifying sYc members.

I think this would be great, and while we don't have the staff to host this, I can certainly work with anyone willing to step up.

We can also set up a specific meeting spot as a "Home Base" for this. Maybe our revised Vintage Certification area which will be located in the newly redecorated and expanded Awards/Ballroom area?

The Vintage Certification area is now located in the Awards/Ballroom. We will have a banner promoting The Supercar Registry/SYC, and Name Tags to help identify our members will be on the table by the banner. Look forward to seeing old friends being introduced to new ones.

Always a great idea!

I’m not the biggest partier, admittedly. As much as I love the cars, I look so forward to meeting fellow sYc’ers. 2 years ago, I wore a white T shirt with my sYc name on the back shoulder. I thought others would recognize the name. Not one person stopped and said, Hi as a result. But somehow, later, that eve, got mixed up with Grady and Adam Byers and and a bunch of other sYc gang that were party extraordinaires! Ha! I have to laugh. What a great bunch of inebriated guys. Had a great time!!! Maybe Dru was there? Anyway, point is, I want to meet as many guys as I can, if they want to meet me? Let me know where the “action” is going to be?

Steve, where is that located, the stage area at the back?

That is correct;

That area has been redecorated with new carpeting and best of all, new lighting. The display will be set up this year with THREE Titan Lifts and special signage that will explain what the guys are doing.

I have a feeling this area will be a central meeting point, as the room has been expanded and will also be where we have the seminars, panel discussions and the Pro Stock cars will on the opposite side of the room, along with the awards stage.

Look for the Vintage Certification "arrow" signs!

Thanks Bruce.

Unlike many other shows, we are the first to admit that the MCACN show is always a work in progress, and we strive to make improvements every year for both the participants and the spectators.

I've seen it first hand.

It really gets better every year. It's the must go to show in the US. Nothing else compares. :beers:

I was responding to your question Paul when we lost power due to the rain and high winds. This is a change came about due to distancing requirements in the snack bar area, which we were parallel to. We should have more room and to top it off we have a stellar group of cars which makes it very exciting!!! Four cars under 13k miles, three under 10k and another just over 1k miles. All of them are stunningly preserved.....

Wasn't going this year but the magazine today and all this talk changed my mind. Room (Hyatt) and flight booked. I'm guessing there is a "Class of '71" this year, 50 years.

You won't be sorry!

YES; Class of 1970 and Class of '71 Invitational displays plus our "Transitions" Special display, which pairs up 70's and 71's that underwent a major restyling side by side. This includes the Roadrunner/GTX's, Mustangs, Javelins and Chargers.

I just got a call from my friend, Terry and he can't go. I have a King room booked for him and I see there is no availability for the group rate anymore.

Before I cancel, is there someone who would want to transfer this to their name and take the room ?
