Holub's Cars at GM-Carlisle show
Here are some digi's of Gary and Robin Holub's Yenko Camaros that were on display last month at the GM Show in Carlisle, PA. It was a rare chance to see one of the Olympic Gold cars in person.

Re: Holub's Cars at GM-Carlisle show
Hi Charlie;
Somehow I failed to take a digi-pic of the F-Green Yenko Camaro, only a normal photo! Of course I also really like the Fathom Green color, (now if I could just find a '69 Yenko Nova in F-Green!). As you can see Holub likes vinyl tops and automatics! The 'champagne' colored car is Olympic Gold in '69. There were 10 Yenko Camaros produced in this color, all were 4speeds without vinyl tops or power steering. They have survived fairly well, I think there are 6-7 of them existing at this time. M |

gold color!gary's cars look super!!were there any 69 yenko nova's in olympic gold? |
Re: Holub's Cars at GM-Carlisle show
John;
To our knowledge, there were no Olympic Gold '69 Yenko Novas. There appears to be only 4 colors available for the '69 Yenko Novas; Fathom Green, Rallye Green, Lemans Blue, and Garnet Red. It is unknown how many of each were produced, but they were predominately black, vinyl, standard interior cars with bench seats and 4speeds. M |

Kent;
I don't know why you couldn't view the pics on the post, I emailed the Olympic Gold pic to you. What is the sentimental reason for the O-Gold color?? Did you used to own one? (R.Welch car??) This particular O-Gold car was originally sold out of Jack Douglas Chev. in Hinsdale, IL. M |
Re: Holub's Cars at GM-Carlisle show
Thanks for your reply, the olympic gold color is real nice too, all those cars are beutiful. My father in law got new a ss396 3speed on the floor bucket seats and red line uniroyol tires and the car was 63-63 champagne color nothing special just a nice car. Thanks.

Re: Holub's Cars at GM-Carlisle show
Marlin,
I was lucky enough to "discover" the car back in '94. Called Mick Price who verified the vin#. After purchasing the car or as Mick said "stole it from the guy", I started collecting parts, and somewhere along the way, made the decision to sell it. I offered it to Mick Price. Mick sold it to Gary Holub, who had the car restored to the condition it is in today. Thanks again for the picture. Kent |
