I've owned many, many cars that had 15 x 3.5 or 4.00 front wheels and have NEVER encountered a problem with stopping or turning. As long as I was driving sensibly and not doing battle on the two-lane blacktop with anybody, they drive just fine. Now, I wouldn't try autocrossing or doing a slalom course but that stuff, along with the whole Pro-Touring thing, just doesn't do anything for me. The only turn I'm interested in is the turn onto the return road after a Dragstrip pass!

You are talking about 15"by 3"rims on front skinny bias-ply tires too. Paul

I have also ran 15X4's for many years on the street. Never had a problem as long as like Mark says you are not trying to road race that car. Why would anybody be slamming in and out of turns with the drag race look/set-up on their car?

Some may be so good at driving they can anticipate every possible poor choice of the drivers around them, some are not. If you ever had to make a split second change, brake or turn with the skinny tires, you can relate.

I learned when I used daily drive mine this way.

Turning corners was a little more tricky for me. Don't think I had a quick stop encounter that I can remember.

I'm guessing for you Sammy that the <span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-weight: bold">GO</span></span> pedal was significantly more worn on your ride than the brake pedal!

-----Just think about it for a minute. A pro-street type car has a tremendous amount of rubber on the road in the rear, and very little in the front. This throws what ever proportioning system a car like this has way off. Hard, emergency type braking is definetly thrown way off. Guys that dont change some stuff around and do some testing are in for a big surprize when there is a panic stop involved......Bill S

IMO this is the perfect stance for a 67-69 Camaro. Front end up in the air, car raised all around with a slight rake -very aggressive looking. Car just sits right...but the side pipes are way to short and small. Car ran a grump lump scoop. Car belonged to Sandy Macri from Westchester NY circa 1977 or so. Where abouts today unknown

BTW Tires are E78-14, N50/15 and 14 x6 and 15x10 Cragars
