Now I looked in my mirror and I saw somethin' comin',
I thought it was a plane by the way it was a-runnin'.
It was a-hummin' along at a terrible pace,
and I knew right then it was the end of the race.

When it flew by us, I turned the other way,
the guy in the Mercury had nothin' to say,
for it was a kid, in a hopped up Model-A.

Here's a twofer-

<span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">I got bruises and hickeys, stitches and scars
Got my own theme music plays wherever I are
Fear is the hand that pulls your strings
You're a useless toy, pitiful plaything</span></span>

And no.2:

<span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">Hot air hangs like a dead man
From a white oak tree
People sittin' on porches
Thinkin' how things used to be</span></span>

Trick question, RUSH again w/ Little Red Barchetta!
Strange words but I used to love the song also isn't today's day/age when he finds the car?
Growing up in S. Ontario I was lucky enough to see RUSH a few times in the 70's/80's...once or twice w/ Max Webster who really rocked before KM's solo days.
