Most tire shops had a "Volkswagen" adapter which is a direct bolt set up. The hold down plate in the trunk is for use on the 40/40 tire changing machines..... the hold down plate can also be used when using a bubble balancer. An on the car balancer is the best way to balance 8 lugs. The 8 lugs on my '67 GP are way out of balance...... I'm going to try and balance the whole wheel/drum/tire assy on a spin balancer.. |

Check this survivor out from the cruise night in Hamilton NJ, last night. 62 Pontiac 421/405, 4-speed. Original paint. Neat car. It was used as the tow vehicle for a second Super Duty 62. Both this car and the SD race car are owned by the same guy.
