This Monaco Orange 69 ZL-1 Corvette was purchased new at West Penn Garage in Leechburg PA by John Maher. It was sponsored by Gulf Oil and raced in various forms of racing including drag racing, hill climbs and road courses. It's my understanding that it was mainly raced with an L88 in it and that the original ZL-1 block is in the car now. This car was ordered with a TH400 and 3.36 gears. I believe this car still has it's original tank sticker. This car was part of the Corvette Legends Invitational. B. Perrone, who is the second owner, had it at the show.
