Yes Sam, that is the same poster girl. But I do have some others including a very nice calendar from Southern IL.
Install of the 1 piece floor does entail taking the frame loose from the body. I drop the bolts and lift the body high enough to get the floor slid in. (this is at least a two man job) You do need to get under the floor, under the car, and shove it in place to line up the body mts. Then you can lower the body back down, and make sure the mts are all aligned correctly. I sheetmetal screw it all in place before I weld it up, then weld up the holes after done welding it in place. I like this piece from AMD. The Camaro, Nova floors I like from classic. They are heavier. JMHO. I did not like the tailpan part. It took modification, and I would not use this particular piece again. I did have some great conversations with George, who does work for Jeff Latondross. George is a great guy, and a wealth of information on these post cars. The car is in dp70 primer only. No fill or seam seal work, and filler only at the qtr roof seam, and door jamb area as there needs to be blasting work done to other areas later. Then we'll smooth out any imperfections, or issues. No use getting paint ready when it may get bumped into during that time. |
