Both the Champagne COPO tribute and LeMans Blue post L89 tribute are original small block cars. They are nice looking cars and plenty fast. Here's the Champagne car at Martin in 2009 when it was first done.

Everyone goes through the visual inspection. Correct heads, intake, exhaust, carb, and the other visual stuff. Heavy tech is when you do 'better than expected'. They pump you for cubes, whistle you for compression, and pull a valve cover for lift. Also check other items. Tim passed with flying colors.
