Re: 1969 yenko chevelle on ebay

I create reproduction window stickers for the 1964-1974 Pontiac crowd. As you know, we always have PHS documentation to prove what the car was born with, so displaying a reproduction window sticker on a Pontiac is simply a conversation piece, not for intentionally deceiving someone when selling a car. Aging a window sticker (which I do NOT do) is something else.

That being said, I've accumulated hundreds and hundreds of ORIGINAL window stickers that I use as a reference in creating accurate Pontiac window stickers.

I look at fonts and alignments very carefully, and I can tell you that the Yenko Chevelle window sticker shown on the last page is definitely not authentic.

I'm not claiming the YENKO to Jack D. window sticker I just posted is authentic,if that's what you were referring to Mike.
Just underlining the point that a sticker would've more likely displayed Dons logo if HE re-issued it within his network, not the factory.

No, I didn't think you meant that it was authentic, sorry if I came across that way. I was just stating that I can tell that the window sticker posted on the previous page wasn't printed by Chevrolet.

Plus the factory wouldn't put a colorful individual dealer emblem on it.
Only time I've seen the Yenko crest on a window sticker,it looked like this,as Don would issue it.

Charley,ask triple A if it's one of theirs... http://www.window-sticker.com/

This isn't a Factory GM/ Chevrolet issued W/S.. ...
Its an Add on Supplemental Sticker from the Dealer showing the "Details, Dealer Conversion/ Add ons.
Did you guys get so caught up in analizing Fake GM issued ones, you lost site of a Dealer add on Was and still is Required under the Maroney Act of disclosure.. ...All items added over a factory built car Has to have the Alterations/ Modifications/ Added Parts Disclosed and itemized , priced AND Displayed .
When I first was exposed to new cars incoming to dealers of the transporters. ...Window Stickers from GM came on the car glass somewhere, on the seat, in the Dealer to install packages or even in the trunk.
Its only required a Dealer Display a sticker And OR Supplement .
This is nothing more than The Dealer of Record Showing His Detailed changes and His Dealership Logo On His Printed addendum label.
This practice is still done today and Is Required by Federal & State Laws.
ask Srephano......

PS
The first Jack Douglas Yenkos Came from Yenko ,shipped to JDC.. Later he found out he could order his own COPO Cars & Contracted with YENKO to market his Marquee YENKO Pkg on JDC ordered COPO/Double COPO pkgs actually from Chevrolet and he ordered them with different options than did Yenko..
and maybe even in different color options.

So, the questions here are, Is this Sticker an Original, a Reproduction or a FAKE ?
AS IT SEEMS THIS CAR IS Questionable , at Best with No Known Connection /Facts/ Yenko Paper Trail ? and a Totally different Dealer of Delivery Record ?

Re: 1969 yenko chevelle on ebay

Day2 69Z, trust me, nobody here thought that, we all know the diff between a GM vs Yenko issued w/s.

The Chevelle in question has quite a long history with many of us, and the most recent window sticker is not the first one we've seen for this particular car. While this car may have some type of connection to Yenko, it has never been proven nor has it ever been a clear story.

With the 500-600 Total YENKOS that DON claims to have "Marketed". Is there any cars out there Retaining the Original Dealer Add On Sticker, even just 1...ONE, to compare ?

I think I answered this question. It's not authentic.

I never commented on the Jack Douglas Chevrolet window sticker. Yes, of course that's a supplemental, I don't think anyone questioned that.

Thanks,
and I Did go back to page 10 to look at "the Real GM window sticker......Lmfao ...
That's a FAKE , no Doubt in my mind .
Looking at all the verbiage that Never Would Have Existed .....
.
Is the Car factually REAL or ?

I'm not sure I understand your question, are you asking about the original GM w/s or the secondary one that Yenko added?

Re: 1969 yenko chevelle on ebay

I am not even sure why there is a discussion regarding the possibility of this being a real window sticker. I agree with whomever said we don't need any experts to figure this one out.
Same car had as its documentation a few years ago a horrible window sticker (found on the seat, no less) that a first grader could spot. Now, the car has a better quality fake ws. Same vin. Special performance unit was $1439.65 a few years ago, and is now down to $532.95.
This is a blatant forgery. Period.

Re: 1969 yenko chevelle on ebay

Marlin & Lynn,
Im asking about the Yenko supplement window sticker.
Add on sticker as printed by Yenko.

I have never seen one....
Some years back a friend of mine had one of the
Most Documented sYc Camaros on the Planet that was SOLD NEW at YENKO Chevrolet
in the Spring/ Summer of '69
That Reem of Docs Did Not Have an Add on Window Sticker and every Doc was saved.

AGAIN, OK IT'S ALL BOGUS W/S on the Car in Question.....
But, Has ANYONE EVER SEEN OR. HAVE. A ORIGINAL YENKO. ADDENDUM /ADD ON
WINDOW STICKR.?

AT a local cruise a few years back I saw one in the window of a NICKEY. 427 '69 Chevelle. and Questioned it,
The Owner said it was Duplucated/Reproduction
of the tattered original..
Has anyone seen Originals from NICKEY /DANA
YENKO/BM as an ADD ON SUPPLEMENT sticker ?

Pix anyone ?

I am a long way from a Yenko expert.
The only such sticker I have ever seen is the pic posted by Mr70.

I dug this up from the e-bay deuce thread back in 2010 - I remember the Simpson's had this car and window sticker at one of the SCR's in Joliet a few years back.

Ok, I understand your question now.

Yes, we've seen plenty of the Yenko w/s's, for Corvairs, '67 Yenko Camaro's, '69 Yenko Camaro's, Chevelles and a Nova (!), and '70 Yenko Novas. Obviously, I'm most familiar with the '70 Yenko Nova versions, and I know that there were at least 3 versions within '70 alone.

Of all of the Yenko w/s's I've seen - the w/s presented for this Chevelle doesn't even come close! It doesn't represent a GM w/s, a Yenko w/s, nor even a hybrid - which I honestly don't even know what that could look like!

I am referring to the document, which Charley has asked for an opinion. If you believe that is real well that's fine. The documents this owner has provided have changed over the years. This document isn't even close to being what was produced by Yenko. It's a hybrid between a Yenko W/S and a GM W/S. Just keeping it real......

Kinda reminds me of the old Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon.

Bullwinkle: "Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit outa my hat?"

Rocky: "Again?"

Every time this guy has supplied some document and it has been completely shot down, he comes up with another one after a "cooling off period." I guess maybe he assumes everyone forgot about the prior attempts?

Re: 1969 yenko chevelle on ebay

I also have a good selection of original window stickers and also create reproduction window stickers for 1960-1970 Chevrolets. While most of us concentrate on the fonts which is usually a telltale sign of a reproduction document, I also look at the form itself. None of the blank forms sold by on-line retailers are exactly correct and more often they advertise forms as correct for vehicles or years they are not correct for. The forms changed through the years and sometimes even in the middle of a year. The Yenko Chevelle window sticker is not on a correct 1969 Chevelle GM form. In 1969 Chevrolet used the larger 8.5 x 11 forms for all cars other than the 69 Vette. This form is similar to a 69 Corvette form and absolutely not correct for a 69 Chevelle. If you reference Dale's very informative Chevellestuff site, he shows examples of original 69 Chevelle window stickers: Just scroll through: The Chevelle form changed to the 8.5 x 11 format in 1968.
