Love it. Bring back the "anti-pro touring" tall muscle car stance! :)

These are pics of my former 69 L89 w/6k org miles. First pics are the 2nd owner and his son from 1971, the car had 2500 miles. I bought the car in 2012, it had been parked under his house and not driven since 1983. He lived in the mountains and we had to back the rollback up the lane to get to it. The pic of the 2nd owner his son and his wife in 2012 when it was loaded on the rollback. The last pic was at Altoona, PA in Sept 2012, the first showing ever at a NCRS meet.

Great thread, here is my 1969 427 Corvette. My wife and I purchased from original owners in 1992. Survivor, not restored. My plan was to restore it, however it’s such a nice driver I can’t bring myself to do it. Pictures are with original owner who was in the USNA in Annapolis Maryland. The pictures of Captain “Wally” were taken in Pensacola Fl in early 70’s. Picture of the 2 young ladies on the front lawn were taken when the car was 3 days old. They are Wally’s younger sisters, parked on his parents front yard. I bought the car from one of Wally’s sisters. Rob

scuncio 12-31-2022 12:54 AM

Great pictures! Don’t restore it!

Too Many Projects 12-31-2022 02:27 AM

Some very cool vintage pics of these cars in their early years.
No pics of any of my early cars or bikes. They all went with the ex in '82 and never saw them again...:mad2:
I do have 1 pic of my 1975 KZ900 in 1976. A high school buddy was freelancing as a photographer by then for extra income and presented it to me. It's around here somewhere, but haven't seen it since the move. I need to dig around and find it now.

Thanks for the bump Pete, I did not know this thread existed - the last posts before the bump were about a month before I bought my COPO. Here's a few pics of said COPO from the early 1970's when it was just converted from street car to a Super Stock D strip car. Car had 1,100 miles on it at that point.

These have been seen before, but belong in this thread as well.....

I know this is stretching the definition of the word "supercar" but some old pics of the Chevelle:

(check out the garage. That's the spot where the GTO sat for about 25 years).
