Whenever my wife wants to go to the second hand bookstore here, I always head over to the old yearbooks and check out the old dealer ads in the back from the 60s era yearbooks. I love those old yearbook adverts.

Nankivell's Indianapolis location was sold into the Hubler conglomerate in the early to mid '70's, the building is still there on Route 31 in what is now technically known as Greenwood, IN. Jim Nankivell was also running an off shore fishing business in Florida.

I believe that Nankivell's Shelbyville location was run by Jim's brother Morgan, and may have been an Oldsmobile dealer early on, but eventually sold Chevrolet's as evidenced by the neon on the ceiling....

I spoke with a gentlemen who belonged to the same Skeet Shooting Club that Jim Nankivell belonged to and he and Jim were friends. He told me that before this Olympic Gold 69 Yenko Camaro sold new Jim used to bring the car out to the club to promote the Yenko brand. That one day at the club he said Jim let him take the car out and go through some gears. A day he said he will never forget. Jim Nankivell was very much a car guy and loved Hi-performance cars he said.
