Looking good...anxious to see both cars at the SCR. Rumor is you guys have been doing a little "tuning" for the drag strip.

Great job on the hood Mike. The Camaro looks awesome!

Re: Dedicated Day 2 Thread
The stripes on the hood are a little different than on a Vette.
We decided to keep them @ 1/8" and 1/8" to match the OE Bubble Bee stripe. The scope area is blacked out VS cut out. At one time we had talked about using the Vette chrome insert, but this looks way more bad ass. Tom, as far as tuning, all that involved was checking the total timing and the dwell. We did put new springs in Gradys this spring. Looking forward to some track time. |

Grady and Mike,
Very nice work. Looking forward to seeing the engine compartment. I'm sure it will be well tuned for the next drag strip event. Phil W. |
Re: Dedicated Day 2 Thread
As promised, a few more shots of the Grady Camaro. We worked on the car now for well over a month. Pulled the eng and M22 for some major reseal and clean up. The motor bay had the typical bad rattle can black out all over the place. Grady spent allot of time and a few gallons of mineral and lacquer thinner cleaning off much of that black paint.
The upper cowl where the red meets the firewall blackout had also been touched up red along with the firewall black. I wet sanded above the seam sealer and re shot the red and black on the upper cowl with lacquer. Grady took some course compound to it and I must say it looks almost untouched and not over detailed. While wet sanding around the trim tag we found signs of the white paint where the TT hade been sprayed white. This was kind of a hit an miss deal on 67 Camaros ? The old school Hooker headers were re coated white, the hood hinges were striped of some old paint and underneath revealed almost perfect original dark phosphate plating. Enjoy, I sure did just being around this time capsule.
