I got a revelation....For next years SCR if you didn't show proof you drove your car at least 100 miles that year or made at least 6 -1/4 mile passes, you can' participate. How many would be eligable?

I've got a folder on our Yenko Camaro that I've thrown just *some* of the ET slips it's collected since SCR1 (the car's first time on the track)...I just did a quick count, and there were over 130 crammed in there! Most are from actual events, as I don't keep a lot of the slips from Test'N'Tunes because I have charts that I log the slip info onto and then toss the slips, and I have *yet* to have the car out to the track this year! So I'd *conservatively* say that our yellow Camaro has over 200 passes on it in a about 6 years... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Here's what I do with my cars.

I have a fully restored 1967 Camaro RS I take to shows and I'll admitted it, it's a hanger queen and I like it that way. I am not a millionaire and I work hard for my money so I want this car to last a little longer.

When the mood arises I have a 1981 Z/28 350 4 speed car that I drive the snot out of. Not an expensive car but a whole lot of fun to drive.

In between these 2 cars I am collecting parts to build my 1970 Z/28 into a Day 2 car. Since it will not be restored correctly that will be my next, run what you brung and have a great time doing it hot rod.

But the bottom line is that it's your car do what you want with it and have fun doing it. Period!

Now, excuse me a minute while a go harass the neighbors with the '81. Be right back.

Its a lot easier to get yourself a fully documented all original numbers matching drivetrain car these days, Their everywhere, I believe there are ten times as many today than there were in the 80's, Must be some guy with a big garage maybe holding on to them until now https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smirk.gif

That's always been my reply when asked how many LS-6's exist. Of the 4475 +/- cars produced, there are currently about 6000 still in existence! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif

So no one knows how many more of these cars are undiscovered? Persnally this car is too clean. Probably cleaner than it was on a showroom floor. The thing looks like it is made of wax. However, I'm not insulting car.

The more I look at that ZL-1 the more I like it. With that color green and the poverty caps, you couldn't get a more innocent or sinister looking car.

There are 7 unaccounted for, 42 in existance, 20 stolen or destroyed, only 6 with original engines.

it states in the ad a complete restoration. for 775k i would think it would be rather clean.

Is this 1 of the 6 original engines?

So its pointless in trying to track them down? I guess its best to hope I come along one some day. I'm figuring the unaccounted for are probably old racers that have been phased out. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

I just love seeing the feedback on these bidders. Check out what the top bidders have as items bought/sold in their history. A $2 bottle of cologne, a $7 music cd, a $27 biology text book. Oh yeah, this is one serious auction full of the highest of high rollers! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif
