Rich and his monster wagon:
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...8/S7002097.jpg and it's monster motor: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...8/S7002073.jpg My old Dodge: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...8/S7002069.jpg And my boy. He was actually thrilled to go. On the trip back he said this was the "most fun day he ever spent with Dad, ever." He then went on to say that he set a new high score on his Transformers Nintendo game... I did take him around for a few tours of the show field. He does like the "cars with the funny opening doors" - I imagine he means the McLaren, the Countachs and the Ferrari P4, and not the Kaiser Darrin a couple of rows over. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...8/S7002106.jpg |

Beautiful 1971 440 Six Barrel Cuda. Blue with blue interior. Very bright. It came in second, behind the silver 1977 Countach in the 71 and up class:

Re: Sept 21st in Connecticut - Looking for Muscle Cars
I'd drive to CT for an event like that............but then, my car would just be a fly in the ointment. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/blush.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/blush.gif
Terrific display. Thanks Steve for the coverage! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif |

Verne, you can come and hang out with the rest of us "Cousin Eddie" types anytime. I'll bring the real tomato ketchup. You bring the Hamburger Helper.

Re: Sept 21st in Connecticut - Looking for Muscle Cars
Thanks Steve,
GREAT Pic's. Love your son and his Games. He was into that big time. My Wife and I will be in charge next year again of building the muscle car class. The only rule is a car that was shown cannot be shown again for 3 years. So, get ready for next year. Did you notice, even in the spectators parking lot, you couldn't swing a Dead Cat without hitting a Ferrari. Or a Rolls. My Charge is to Build the Muscle Cars Class to be the BEST at any Concours in the country. With People like here on SYC, Bill, Albert, Steve, Tom (so sorry you couldn't make it) and those who are already lined up for next year, I am sure we will do it. Look for Coverage of this event in an UpComing Issue of "Sports Car Marketplace". Thanks again, IT WAS FUN. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ouguysrock.gif |
Re: Sept 21st in Connecticut - Looking for Muscle Cars
I noticed there were a lot of professonal video tape crews there. Is there any internet or TV coverage coming up?

Re: Sept 21st in Connecticut - Looking for Muscle Cars
I thought I heard Speedvision was there and might have a segment. I do not know for sure.
Also, just FYI, Lunch for the Car Owners and VIP's was provided by Joanne Woodward and her husband Paul Newman. She hosted a VIP Lunch at the tent. My wife got to meet her. They are big supporters of the Charity and Cars of course. I am asking the show to create a "Muscle Car Class" hopefully next year, we will have our own class. I'll keep everyone posted. |
