You are correct Pete, I do collect Hubleys. Mostly Die Cast kits and plastic items from the 50's and 60's. Managed to scrounge up hundreds over the years... Just for fun, I'll attach a pic of some of my store display models (kits that were actually painted and assembled by the Hubley factory for use in toy store displays). Pretty tough to find these type of items lately...but I'm always looking. Wonder if this pic attachment will work since the other pics aren't acessible????

Well, time to bump the ad up and drop the price down (again)......

So far the only interested parties I've had want me to finish this car 100%. I have way too many projects, and work too much to do something like that.

I'm willing to do some additional work but not everything...

With that said, let's make the new price $35K for the car and ALL the related parts I have... AS-IS. No full or partial trades (unless you happen to have a nice spare DZ 302 for my early 69 Z/28). This price is good until next Wednesday when I head to Monterey for the Historic races, Auctions, Car shows, etc. That's less than I have invested in the paint job alone (and remember, this was a one lady owner, never hit basically rust-free California car to start with). FYI: Additional work = additional money (same as before).

Heck, even if you aren't looking for one of these cars, you can finish it and probably flip it for a profit at one of the many popular auctions out there...

Couple of more details for you guys based on items that have been asked of me...

The car was factory equipped with a 6 way adjustable drivers seat assembly, which it still has and is included.

Here's another pic of the gauges as they were being installed in the car. I wish I was a better photographer but I'm not. These are the original "factory installed in this car" Rally gauges that were restored and recalibrated. They were in such good condition prior to resto that they did not need to be refaced, only properly cleaned. This pic does not show how nice they really are, but you get the idea...

And this car is not listed anywhere else for sale... no Ebay, Craigslist, local papers, etc. Just you important folks get to know about it.

Me again... Lots of interest this time around and many excellent questions, but no money in my pocket yet as of today.

Since I'm heading out of town early tomorrow morning it looks like the window of opportunity for the reduced price I offered is now closed without any takers.

I probably should bump a couple of my Z/28 projects farther down on the priority list and finish this one first instead of offering it for sale.... Wish there were more hours in the day and dollars in the bank to play with !!

Sign of the times.... yes, but also priced low due to extenuating circumstances. Not long ago this would have brought some pretty good dollars... Oh well, that's the way the cookie crumbles. FYI, I finally started to tally up my actual expenditures on this project (bear in mind that I did quite a bit of work on it myself as well as paying for services) and I stopped counting when my expenses exceeded $101K. Ouch!

Status update: While out of town I negotiated a deal on this fine ride with a gentleman from Indiana. He's flying in on Saturday to consumate the transaction so it's pretty much sold at this point in time. I'll let y'all know if something changes but I doubt it will.

Once again, thanks for all the calls and emails (got more today, but too late for them) and let's see what the next "Fire Sale" items brings to the table for you guys.... Charlie

I should have posted this a long time ago. I was the one who flew in from IN and did end up buying the car. WOW - what a great car. Hubleyman was great to deal with and he has first class cars. The Cuda was so much nicer than what I had even hoped for and he represented the car perfectly over the phone.
