Re: Ebay Sniper Hit Me

I just bought an NOS fuel pump on EBAY that I have been searching for over 6 years! The seller is in TN, never would have found it at Carlisle. Oh, my big bid at the beginning stood up, made me https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif almost as much as when I'm installing it on my Yenko Deuce!

For me, living in England, there is no other way for me to play. I think that for you guys in the States, too, trying to find NOS parts or specific dealer memorabilia (mine are in Wisconsin and Ohio) the local swaps just doesn't cut it, especially if you live in another state. I mean, where else are you going to find 4 NOS Deal with Dale dealer plates or know that the 69 Milwaukee USAC race program had a half page Dale ad touting 427 Camaros, Chevelles and Novas?

I feel the same way here in Canada, it's tough finding the things you really need becouse they're just nowhere to be found. Even with the problems with e-bay it's an invaluable asset. You have to communicate with the seller to weed out the offenders. As far as auto's are concerened, most of the scammers are easily spotted, but you do find people misrepreseting what they're selling in any section of e-bay

I thought my above reply would elicit some interesting comments. Frankly, I forgot about the overseas owners...my apology.

As always, approach Ebay with caution!

i snipe everything
no reason to drive the price up before hand
my ebay philosophy: i lived without the part before i saw it so im sure ill go living if i miss my bid.

I'm new to sniping... love it... can't live without it now.

Thanks for the Amherst Robot pointer... that's the one I'm using & it seems to work fine. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif
