I got some very sad news just a while ago.

Toby, who owned the collection on these pages- passed away today. He was an amazing person with a heart of gold.

Rest in peace, Toby.

Sorry to hear that, Bruce.
Condolences to his family and friends.
I've been trying to get a group of Chevelle Club members to make the trip down there to see this for a few years, but no one wants to spend an overnight. Hoping they keep this going and I'll just have to go by myself.

If you go next year...let me know when. I may join you :)

Also, I noticed that I didn't add some very unique info that Toby shared with me quite a while ago about his collection.

When designing this building exhibit, he and his architect went to the Petersen museum and also Disneyland and met with folks from both places with regards to how to scale the buildings to look proportionally correct.

Also when flying back with him after the tour...I let him know that I really enjoyed myself and that the people that he had working for him were amazing.

At that point he corrected my statement and said, "They don't work for me, the work along side me. We are all a team."

A very smart man, with a heart of gold, who will be missed (also he loved Holly's anise flavored Christmas cookies, too ) :)
