Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and this is a real beaut. I only saw the champagne COPO on Friday. He seemed to be missing on Saturday, and I was looking forward to seeing him run too. |

In the background behind Jimmy Johnsons too fast 69 L88 Corvette you can see most of Peter Simpsons COPO 69 Camaro. It too proved to be too fast just like all three of the L88 Vettes, as the younger Simpson went 11.498 on a 11.499 break out rule while running against Scott Tiemann driving Rick Mahoneys blue Mopar. I'm saying the fast Chevys will have to disconnect the back barrels on their carburetors next year to keep from breaking out. Tis a shame..... |

The Biscayne was only out Thursday for Hemmings. Those back rims and tires are not PS.
The Champagne COPO was on her maiden weekend, ended with Ignition issues, but will return with a vengeance, pulled low twelves out of the box:-) Ryan |
