Amazing game and the way the playoffs should be,by two fully skilled teams.

Corey Crawford should've gotten the MVP trophy for holding off that offensive onslaught in the 1st period like he did.

What a terrific series by two of the original six teams. Blackhawks deserved to win. Congratulations Chicago.

Not likely Dan. I've been an Islanders fan since the late 1970's when they drafted Ontario Junior A star Dennis Potvin. We had a great run in the early 80's, but not much since. However, they did give the Penguins a run for their money in the first round this year. They hopefully will have a good future with their young team.

It was worth that puck to the face to get the cup.
The best cup in the World is the Stanley Cup by far, which is a handful to carry and you can drink out of something were legends like Orr-Gretzky-Howe etc... had there lips all over it too.
Your name also gets engraved along with many legends,

We laughed so hard when we heard Shaw yelling "F'in A!!!" over and over again. On the last utterance of that phrase, they finally turned the microphones down. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif[/img]

For those not living around here, and maybe aren't familiar with the Blackhawks organization, it really sucked trying to follow the Blackhawks when Bill Wirtz was President. Known as "Dollar Bill" Wirtz, he forbid Blackhawks home games to be shown on TV unless they were picked up by national broadcasters, which only happened when the Blackhawks made the playoffs. He was disliked by all the fans, and over the years, he was responsible for letting some great players go, including Dennis Savard, Ed Belfour, and even as far back as Booby Hull and Phil Esposito.

When he passed away in 2007, the torch was passed to his son Peter, then later to Rocky Wirtz. Things have been fantastic ever since. Policy change, and Blackhawk games were aired on TV for the fans. Since then, we've captured two Stanley Cups since 2010. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/beers.gif[/img]
