When he first asked me if I had seen the Gobi Beige LS6 a couple rows over I said no and don't care to. I have NEVER liked Gobi Beige on a Chevelle. However, later that day I was walking past and decided to take a look. That turned into over an hour inspection and several photos as well as talking to the owner, Ralph who restored the car. After looking that car over I have a new outlook on that color especially on the Chevelle. That car looked great! |

Re: doees anyone know this car?
I like the 70s "earth-tones" and I know where a real, bona-fide '70 W-30 is in that color scheme. Not that I am looking for another car now (still in back surgery recovery), but if I were, I'd consider it. Rare does not always equal desirable, but with more LS6 Chevelles now than Chevy made, and more '69 Camaro EVERYTHING than was made, more W-30s, etc., a real car with REAL paperwork, no matter what color it is has got to be worth considering. I, personally love the Beiges, Golds, Greens, Browns, etc. and applaud the restorer/owner for not changing it to Black, Red, whatever.

Re: doees anyone know this car?
I like the low-impact colors as well, and really like that Gobi Chevelle with the Sandalwood interior and Buckskin top.

Re: doees anyone know this car?
It would be very a very boring hobby if everyone only liked a limited number of color options.

I wish it brought more $$$ for him. |
Re: doees anyone know this car?
Ralph was indeed a very nice and humble guy. I truly enjoyed talking to him. I too had hoped he would get more but I think he was happy with the sale. Sorry I missed you Steve as it would have been nice to chat with you again.
