Re: Mayhems Oldies
Also, if I remember correctly, one of the owners of Corvette Grand Sport #1 wrecked it at Austin Raceway Park. It sat in his yard for years until Mr. Shinkay bought it.

Re: Mayhems Oldies
----Tim,,,Jerome only bought it (traded for it really) after Richard promised to paint it red. There were, I think 12 cars of his involved in the trade. Some of them very tasty! Tommy Turnas tracked the car down and bought it from the Texas guy with Richards money. Tom, a GM employee, also tracked down an original 377ci original Grand Sport engine, complete with "58" sidedraft Webers and manifold. Engine was a beast. You could just about stick your whole hand down one of those Weber barrels......Bill S

</div></div> My folks had a house built on Towerview Court, just off of Manor & Airport in 58. They have many slides of this during and right after the build. It was out of town and the streets were gravel. We moved over off of Cameron Rd in 66 when I was 3 1/2. You might also love this: http://youtu.be/lvAClVBNBls |

Re: Mayhems Oldies
That's cool. A friend of mine owned the REAL Bruce Larson Vega Pro Stocker in the late '70's and was racing it as a Bracket Car in the Indianapolis area. It even still had the Lenco in place.
