What maketh a Mach 1 in the 21st century? Let’s start with what’s under the hood. All Mach 1 Mustangs will come with a 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 good for 480 hp at 7000 rpm and 420 lb-ft of torque at 4600 rpm. According to Ford, it’s essentially the same revised Mustang GT motor as in the outgoing Bullitt, albeit with a slightly different ECU tune. GT350 bits include the intake manifold, oil filter adapter, and engine oil cooler, which all together improve engine oil cooling by 50 percent compared to the standard GT. The Mach 1 will also get two side heat exchangers, one for engine oil and the other for transmission oil, in addition to a rear axle cooling system. The Mach 1 also adds a lower diffuser and rear tire spats sourced from the GT500.

A six-speed Tremec 3160 manual transmission from the GT350 is standard, offered for the first time with rev matching, but you’ll have the option of a 10-speed automatic. The automatic, which is also used in the Mustang GT and F-150, receives an upgraded torque converter and unique tuning for the Mach 1, along with a secondary air-to-oil cooler to enhance cooling capacity by 75 percent.

The Goliath birdeater spider is a stealth hunter in South American forests. The Goliath birdeater is the king of spiders. Weighing up to six ounces and with a leg span of nearly a foot, this tarantula is the largest arachnid on the planet.

The goliath frog otherwise known as goliath bullfrog or giant slippery frog (Conraua goliath) is the largest living frog on Earth. Specimens can grow up to 32 centimetres (13 in) in length from snout to vent, and weigh up to 3.25 kilograms (7.2 lb). This species has a relatively small habitat range in Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. Its numbers are dwindling due to habitat destruction and its collection for food and the pet trade.

Cool!

That's my old black 72 Formula. I guess it's up for sale at Mecum Indy next month. This should be interesting!

Here's the thread on it here:

Your 1971 440+6 'Cuda Convertible will also cross the block at Indy 2020:

Which one...or all of them over the years? :-)

The guy I sold the black car to, Bob, did a phenomenal job restoring the car. It is probably the most accurately restored 72 455HO on the planet and certainly the rarest. I would have loved to have kept the car but I could not find any reputable body men up in my neck of the woods to paint it, and I had found Enrico's SD455 at the time, as well. So t all worked out in the grand scheme of things.

Bob sold it last year to the guy who is flipping it now. That guy paid 6 figures for the car from Bob.

If I wasn't doing the purple 'cuda, I'd probably bid on it.

The 71 Cuda ragtop at auction again is crazy - whoever bought it last year from Dana Mecum paid $1,155,000 for it. Amazing car - that engine has never been touched internally. It was a monstrously quick car back in the 1980's. So cool to have a car run like they were supposed to and not a modern rebuilt version of the engine.
