Traffic Action with J bolt brackets?

Day2_69Z 01-07-2015 11:36 PM

Re: Traction bars

another junk set,,,,he's had these for sale for 3 months or better.
The J bolts are probally like muffler clamp material.

Traffic action means they 'work at traffic lights, the Red ones'

Notice; "Suspension Bar". Not.. traction bar !!!

Most any decent quality traction bar(s) on a IRS Vette isn't a bad thing ...with alot of torque or horsepower.....the bar(s) stop the spring from inverting itself at the biscuits , saving the Main leaf from bending, cracking and damaging the car.
Unless you want the car all stock.

Wrong box..he originally had them listed as for 70-77 Camaro.

That Lakewood box is very early 70's and that Lakewood design is later 70's(no rear spring clamp)..I had some NOS.

Re: Traction bars

I remember that listing for 2nd gen F....
mustang, mercury , Mopar seems more like it

Maybe he's watching this thread and separates the box from the bars and re-lists them as 70's-80's slapper bars , as these do appear to be the heavier street n strip bars.

Re: Traction bars

I am trying to clean up this junkyard in my basement and I would like to get rid of some stuff and I do need help with these traction bars. (This is not a for sale ad) I bought these two pairs of bars at seperate times. Both sets are of unequal lengths. Both sets match each other. They are also very early lakewoods as they use a much different j bolt clamp than the horse shoe style clamp. We have added a couple more Day2 guys (Day2 69z and ChevyandPontiac)since I last asked the question. Either of you guys remember these unequal length bars? I think I see a pair of the same unequal length bars hanging in ChevyandPontiac's picture. Pictures are below of the bars and clamps. One set of these bars is going to go and I don't know if I should pair them as equal or unequal length?Opinions? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...366_medium.jpg

I wanted to mention that these Mr Gasket Trac bars are actually manufactured by Drag Dimensions here in ontario. . They were the supplier for Mr Gasket. I was told that from one of the owners of Drag Dimensions.
