They are too beautiful to put back together!!!! I am trying to follow these step by step instructions closely! I am so impressed with the grey Phos coated parts especially, those are the 50 Shades of grey that make a 999 car!!! Ryan |

I like the jigs you have to prevent bending the arms!! Are you using the non boxed lower control arms? upgrading to F41? adding huge ladder bars? Ryan |

Re: 1969 SS396 325hp Chevelle
Hey Dan, question for you... I was told by a fairly educated source that there are new means of filling pit marks in metal through multiple rounds of powder coating parts (frames, control arms, brackets, etc). He would not elaborate though. Is this a similar process you deployed or is this a 1-coat process?
Thanks, Dan |
Re: 1969 SS396 325hp Chevelle
Hi Dan,
This frame did not need any extra powder coat. I have a good degree of experience with Powder Coaters and Powder Coating. I will say this....not all powder coaters are the same....using extra powder coat can come out terrible and can come out fantastic....again it depends on the powder coater and their product. One thing is for certain, you will pay more for the extra process and extra powder coat. Again I would ask and work with your powder coater to make sure than you both are happy with the end result. Once you tell a powder coater you want extra powder.....the price goes up. Dan |
