Ain't it amazing what we hang on to! Date on the back says October 1964. (Wish I still had the Olds too!)

Well, guess I will have to agree on that? Something about cigar smokers??? Not many wore a smile. Think about it.

Dennis, that 57 looks to have knobbie tires on the rear. Were those for the snow or did you use them on the dirt track? Memories!!!!!

Bruce, thanks for posting a picture of "Thrush Bird."

Ray,
I think those tires were on the car when I bought it in July of '64 (including the PortaWalls!). They DID come in handy that winter. I'll have to dig that photo out some time. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif I replaced them with a HiTech set of Firestone 500s the following spring. Worst set of tires I ever owned!

Lots of guys did run the Mud/Snow tires on our old dirt strip though. My current neighbor ran a Fuelie '63 Split Window with 13" snow tires to change his gearing. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/crazy.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif And others ran the Butyl Plycrons with cross grooves. Ah yes, things were different then! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
