"after the auction ended those who bid on the car were given second chance offers by some scammer scum"

I have listed numerous cars on ebay and then have been critized on this site because I use private auctions. Now you know why! A scammer can't contact anyone in a private auction.

Nice car by the way!

Anytime you receive a personal email from ebay, like a second chance offer for instance, confirm it by clicking on your MY EBAY button, then click on MESSAGES.
If it's really a second chance offer,it will appear in your Ebay messages.
If it's a scam,it will not.

Thanks Steve. There is a lot of documentation on this car and I know what I've got here, It's a really nice '70 Z28. It's just hard to believe people would bid $37K on ebay or
just email me and offer $35-$39K without even calling and talking to me about the car let alone comming over and
touching it. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Very nice LA Built Z-28. I wonder why the engine build date on the P-O-P is V0323CTB and block pad shows V0327CTB? Do you think someone stamping the P-O-P mis-read the engine stamp and incorrectly stamped the P-O-P? Any history on the car from the previous owners as to why the trans was replaced? The car may have been a drag racer and the trans destroyed by speed shifting like so many of that era were.

Paul, that's what we hypothesize on the date discrepancy,no different that switched build sheets. If you go the Oliver Stone route what are the odds of finding a block that tight?

This is my buddy's car,and I have checked out every piece of paperwork and it reads like a book-the car was driven by the original owner till the mid eighties then parked in a garage in So cal till I believe 2002,I doubt very seriously if the car was raced judging by the reciepts from Midas for replacement OEM muffler,shocks,etc.. the paper trail is very convincing that is was unmodified it's entire life.
