Thanks, Guys. The base motor in '65 was the 250 horse. Remember the Road and Track with the red roadster on the cover and the "5 for 65" license plate on it? GM had five 327 engines, 250, 300, 350, 365 and 375. They brought on the 425/396 later on.

Bill, oh yes. I've been to CP's place a few times since the "event". We'll miss those L88's.

Sounds like you're having fun w/ the '64 roadster. . Have you owned it for a bit or purchased it recent times? .

"Pete, the '64 won June Sprints with Bill Morrison at the helm in 1967. Colin will be wheel to wheel with him in about one week at Road America. It won the 1968 June Sprints with Dave Rex at the helm. Dave was scheduled to be at the Road America vintage races this year, but he had to cancel. He's raced a clone to the '64 since the early 80's and we were going to talk about me possibly taking over the racing duties of that car. Bill Morrison still races the 1965 Corvette that broke down the weekend of the 1967 June Sprint. He borrowed the car owned by Dave Rex and went on to win the event setting a course record. "

Colin, I'll track you down. I saw in-car footage from my friends #14 black Corvette and Bill arrived to the parade late that day. I'm sure everyone will have a good time this year. I remember being on the inside of the pits and the concrete wall prevented me from seeing the actual collision.
As the cars stacked up, I could see them well. Your TA was in full view with it being about five feet in the air.
Pete, I no longer own the '64 vintage race car. It may be at RA this year as the owner lives just out of Milwaukee. It would be great to see it again. It was a theft recovery in 1966 and had a '65 front clip on it. They put '65 disc brakes on the car and to avoid any conflicts, they always called it a '65 as it looked like a '65 when it raced.
Dave gave me some great photos and a movie of the car at the 1967 Badger 200, a 289 Cobra won the event. [image]
