You have to admit the story makes for a nice treasure hunt.

I wasn't so much interested in names, I wouldn't know any of them anyway, way over my head. But would be cool to find out 3 are in Texas, 6 in New York, 1 mysterious one in Charley's building..... something like that. Wouldn't surprise me to know that a board member has one of em.

It's something cool, easy to track with so much money and a small number. I bet several in here could rattle of the current stats on most of them. I've never kept up with Mopars, but I sure dig the Hemi's!!!

While looking for the Cuda's I found this, I LOVE as found photo's of cool cars...

And the sight.

NJ-Steve is this the yellow one you refer to as owning, the one Don Johnson copied for the show?

Yup, that's my old old car. Bought it in B- condition for $24,000 in 1985, then did a minor restoration on the car, got it in a few magazines and sold it during my last year of college for $54,000 to Otis. At the time everyone thought I was nuts (when I bought it: for paying too much and when I sold it: for taking advantage of Otis by selling it for so much) Gotta love those 1980's prices. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif

Charley posted pictures of three of these cars earlier in the year. Titled "Mopar Spring Fling". It's on page 8 of this forum. Patrick

PPPJJJFFF Thanks for that.

I knew Charley was involved some how!!!!

Yes that is the stock interior. The car has all its paperwork. The three Cuda converts are owned by two different People in Phoenix-Scottsdale. Here is a pic of me driving it right before I backed it into a garbage can similar to the one in the background. Smart guy that I am.

NJSteve.... 2 orange? Does that change the count or are they not both 71? I guess this is your yellow one again, looks the same by the pics. Nice profit by the way.

Re: $2 Million Hemicuda

The orange one in the back is a 70 not a 71.

The silver car is most likely the Winchester grey export car. The white car is a 1971 Challenger clone. The only year a Hemi Challenger R/T convertible was produced was 1970. I believe the number built was 9. In 1971 there were no Challenger R/T convertibles made at all, only hardtops, so therefore no Hemi Challenger R/T convertibles were produced. -NJSteve

Re: $2 Million Hemicuda

They had the white one labeled 71 but I was suspicious on that. I don't know the ins and outs of year distinctions on these by sight, yet.

Re: $2 Million Hemicuda

The second blue one? VIN even... I bought the 12/04 Mopar Action and see the 2 million buyer (Bill Weimann) is reported to own one of the two blue ones. This one or the first one I posted with the poverty hub caps? Sight I found it on
