Gentlemen....

When you make a post to sell something, you give a selling price. It's a simple little thing. If you don't know what to sell it for, ask something in a forum. Nobody can guess what a person would like to sell something for. So...they have to ask questions and try and figure out what a seller might want to sell it for to make a "reasonable" offer. The condition of the part makes a difference too. Would you have gotten upset if I would have asked that too...? Probably so, I'm afraid. I am not sorry I have asked these questions. They are simple and should've been stated in the first post so buyers can be sure they have ALL the necessary info to make a good judgement when buy a big ticket item.

DSYenko,

If you wanted to be a nice guy and sell this to a person "only" interested in it being used on his car, then I think you may have made the wrong decision by selling it to a re-seller. Mind you, nothing wrong with that.

Here's a little something I thought you'd enjoy to help ease tension:

A bus carrying only ugly people crashes into an oncoming truck, and
everyone inside dies. They then get to meet their maker, and because
of the grief they have experienced; he decides to grant them one wish
each, before they enter Paradise.
They're all lined up, and God asks the first one what the wish is. "I want
to be gorgeous," and so God snaps His fingers, and it is done. The
second one in line hears this and says "I want to be gorgeous too." Another
snap of His fingers and the wish is granted. This goes on for a while but
when God is halfway down the line, the last guy in line starts laughing.
When there are only ten people left, this guy is rolling on the floor,
laughing his ass off. Finally, God reaches this guy and asks him what
his wish will be. The guy calms down and says: "Make 'em all ugly again".

Regards,
Al

Re: 9 F 17 1100837 alternator for sale

The reason i was sold the alternator is because i made a FAIR market value offer and didnt try to steal it or see how cheap i could get it,dsyenko made it available to EVERYONE on this site for 3 days before selling it to me.You cant expect dsyenko to lose money to make someone happy..."nice guys" do sell to vendors too...

yountto,
I can understand you trying to explain why you were sold this item, but I don't think you or the seller have to defend your actions to anyone, everything was above board.--JoeG

Re: 9 F 17 1100837 alternator for sale

Holy mackerel.... Now I'm being acused of trying to "steal" something. Chuck, I was thinking of buying something from you, but you have made my mind up for me. Thank you for your help. I don't think DSYenko was losing any time or sleep over this matter. I'm glad that he was able to sell it to someone. I wish it were to me for a "reasonable" price unlike a "fair"(inflated) market value. I, on the other hand, had no intensions of selling it for a profit. "I" planned on using it on my own vehicle. Which, by the way, will be passed on to my children and "not" sold for profit. I think there may be some hidden personal issues here that are beyond the scope of this forum that a few may wish to look into. Please seek the help. If not for you, for those around you. I am truely sorry if I have offened anyone on this forum with this jitterish and tried to make it up with a friendly gesture of a joke. I've always thought this site to be quite professional in all matters. I guess some may not see this. I am still not sorry for those questions. They are perfectly valid questions, considering not knowing the price "up front" and the response I received. Please enjoy life Chuck, it is just too short.

Al
