Motion triva.....
Car and Driver mag built a 69 Camaro with a LT1 that they called a Z/29 Blue Maxi. Joel said he could do better and built the Z/30 he called the Green Meani. This was a SB 69 Camaro with L88 style hood. In some Motion ads this hood was called "the Green Meani hood" but later was called L88 hood.
Roger, off topic but I saw a old picture of a Shelby American sponsored Top Fuel dragster from late 60s. I never knew of it before.

I thought the "Green Meanie" hood was Joel's snorkel style hood.

Re: 1973 Motion Z30 Phase III Camaro

According to the article on the Green Meanie, this was the first car to get the L88 style hood and the Motion rear wing. It says Joel had to order 50 hoods to absorb the cost of the mold. The Green Meanie had 1969 Corvette sidepipes, rear wing, L88 hood, LT1 with edelbrock 2x4 crossram, cable driven rev limiter, hooker headers, and Lakewood scattershield. It says "sprint type wheels" which may mean Ansen Sprints. They said the engine would rev very high with no problem. When the magazine picked up the car for a road test it had a note on the dash reading "He who blows it, buys it".
