Re: 1969 Nova rear leaf springs
Boy, those are some wide meats! How fun was that to drive in this PA snow? Both cool! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif Do I see an aftermarket sunroof on the gray one?

Re: 1969 Nova rear leaf springs
Yea, the L60's were pretty bad in the snow - but I usually put my snow tires on. The sunroof was a 17x35" unit, and was a welcome addition for a car with black interior and no a/c! Thing rode like a truck with those L60's on there, rode a bit nicer with the 275 radials - even nicer with 255 radials with the rear end down a few inches.

Re: 1969 Nova rear leaf springs
I have 245/50/16's on the rear of my clone and they told me they wouldn't fit either. I guess the tire shop doesn't know how to measure for backspacing? I saw the springs underneath your car on the Pypes site. I take it that's what the originals look like? I have only ever had Mono-leaf cars.

I never jacked mine up...I rolled the lips...and put the biggest tires in there that wouldn't rub...for the most part https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

Re: 1969 Nova rear leaf springs
Yep, those are the original type springs. The new repro's are very good, and the cars sit right with them. I gotta them soon, so I have time to install 'em!

Let me know if they do group discounts! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif I just became a member of NNN last week under the extreme advice of WilmasBoy! I wish I could get mine done for the Nats.
