In the mid-late '60's one of the quicker stock/un-modified cars in town was a '66 Catalina 2plus2 tri-carb 421 (376hp IIRC?) 4 speed with 3.73. It would hook up and be gone!:3gears:

Sometimes all a car needs is the right colors to look good.

FWIW, the Cyclone was a mid-size car.

One of our special Invitational displays at MCACN this year is Big Body Muscle. I personally LOVE a big-body big block 4-speed!
We have some really neat and some really rare and unexpected cars joining us. If you own one of these, please consider joining us. Bashton |
One of my first cars was a 62 Bonneville with the interior colors almost exactly like Tommy's 59 Ventura. I loved the clear sides on the steering wheel. I was only a teenager when I saw the car for sale while out driving one day and bought it for $1200. When I got it home to my parents house, the garage door wouldn't close because it was too long. The trunk on these cars is massive. Came in handy when sneaking friends into the drive-in. LOL
