Yes the 65 was an odd year for radiators and filler necks.This is definitely true for the chevelles and novas.

The Cast iron L-79 curved thermo housing came in at least two variations.Some had the part number casted and others has it inked stamped with bold yellow numbers.

What is the carb listing number and dist number?

Love those big harmonic balancers! When I was a young man and before I even had a driver's license, my father told me countless times: "Son . . . beware of the small blocks with the fat harmonic balancers."
