When you see a Hi Bid No Sale or the Bid goes on at Mecum it can be a "Ghost Bid" from the Auction / Auctioneer. trying to "Get Close" to the reserve and or "fishing for a Real Bid" ,,,,, as the Auction has the right to bid towards "Reserve" price.
Some of those 'the Bid goes on' actually Never had Real Bid..... Its also a way for the Seller to have his Car Appraised , testing the waters of the market. |
