I asked for Peace and Quiet, my kids gave me a wrapped box of piece and quiet...BTW, my 8 year old was up at 3 AM Xmas morning, wife was not pleased with me yelling "go back to bed, Santa didn't come yet". Almost 60 degrees here in Long Giland today, took the Nova out and beat it up a bit, day was a gift, 30's coming next week

Bill, the previous owner was a younger kid and he did tell me that the car came with 2 motors when he bought it. Harry Mann replaced the 396 with a built 427 if I am not mistaken, dealer conversion like Yenko did.. The kid said the original motors were still with the car when he purchased it.

Congrats on the purchase!! This is a very cool car!!!

Rich,

You can post the photos. I would like it if you could email them to me also. The car does have 2 motors. The original short block came with the car. As did the original manifolds, smog, distributor, and spare. The original heads, intake, and carb reside on........get this.............a March of 68 L88 CE short block. I am wanting to dive into the history some more. History bits like you have offered are oh so valuable. I'll start a dedicated thread on the car.

Not sure what direction I am going to take the car. I may jut leave it as is, or put all of the original parts back in it. I a little hesitant to change anything, as the car really seems to have a great story of why it is what it is today.

Tim,
Is the paint nice enough you don't need to do anything with it? I was a little interested when it was on eBay and the owner sounded like it was nice. I thought the extra engine was an L88.

I think I can work with the paint. JM says the short block is an L88 besides the original shortblock.
