Looks like Mr. Beggs offered $10 as a deposit on the car. I wonder if that would work today? lol.

Plus, he traded in a 64 Acadian convert, a very rare car.

Re: 1970 Canadian L78 Nova..
Started the seat project today...here is the process;
Removed and wrapped the sill plate trim...this is important..very easy to scuff them when you are removing that heavy bench seat. Moved seat all the way forward, unbolted seat belts and rear seat attachment bolts...then slid the seat back. Removed the front bolts and with some help from a friend "we eased her out"...also covered the painted sill and doors to protect them from damage. Rear seat is a little easier to get out with the front one out of the way. Found a partial build sheet in the back...but, it was from another Nova (very common)..I already have an original one in the file. Seats frames were in pretty good shape...light coat of surface oxidation..they will be cleaned and painted before the new covers go on. Should have them back in about 2 weeks...my guy is slammed with the early spring rush! *** the original rubber mats are in nice shape and both front and back have the part numbers and logo stamps. Found this green leaf air freshner...must be an NOS Canadian item Now, for some photos from today and then on to the detailing.. http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_3277.jpg http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_3278.jpg http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_3279.jpg http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_3284.jpg http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_3286.jpg http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_3300.jpg http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_3302.jpg http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/...r/IMG_3303.jpg Thanks..wilma |
