Here is a Vintage Lakewood scattershield that was painted Blue-it was on my '79 Trans am (I pulled the motor to do a "DAY2" build on my '67 firebird..)I would like to paint it back to the Factory Hue-Did you find a color close in A Spray Can???

Hector - I called our local paint shop in Mesa, called Space Age Paints. They can mix Pantone 485 C in a rattle can or in a mix for your spraying sytem. They said they could do it in base coat or single stage. They quoted a BASF brand paint, but could mix it using a bunch of other brands too. I'd recommend calling a local paint store and see what they say.

I think I got the Color? Still not sure but I had the color matched>Does it look Correct?

I gave em that code & they gave me this color..Im still not sure if thats the "Correct" shade??

Color look's good and correct. When it is on the car,no light will shine on it,it would be hard to tell if it is off a shade or two. I would go with it.

Here is the BigBlock Im gonna swap in the '67 Firebird-Its gonna get freshened up-I may go with a "Thumpr" comp cam.>>..Also I got the old school Torker intake-M/T valve covers- "White" coated headers-&"Hush thrush" mufflers-I looked in to a Blower but Im gonna use the "Day2" parts I already got-may use a Pete jacson "Noisy" gear drive thats "DAY2" Right???
