So my Dad immediately went out and found this S396 for my brother in the want ads in the New Haven Register and bought it for $3,500. I don't even think my brother chipped in any money either. Damn!

Was your L78 convertible originally shadow gray with blue interior Oliver? I've never seen that combination before but have long wondered if there was one out there.

4.10's in a 12 bolt and a close ratio Muncie. Always got me home.

Drove a '64 Corvette with a block heater and snow tires and a '69 Swinger 340 with just snows.

Yes, it was. It is kind of unique-Shadow grey, blue vinyl bench, M21, power windows, power top and no ZL2. At some point we will do a "light" restoration but we drive it and want to keep doing so won't be doing a full resto anytime soon.
