nelson carter "super chief" lived here in oklahoma and for many years in pawhuska where i spent a lot of time. he was a good friend of one of my life long best friends and his ex wife was my friends sisters best friend and actually they had the same name. we were at the country club every friday and nelson and i were talking about his drag racing days. he mentioned his last car got burned up and i asked what happened to the mach 1 flopper that he raced against and he said it was in his garage and ended up selling it to me. (body only). sadly nelson ended up in prison and i dont know if he is out now or not. |
