I was out there on June 7th 2014 to inspect an LS5 Chevelle at Ward Gappa's place. Upon my arrival I found the car in his driveway under a carport in a 114* day and thought I was likely going to die that day. However, I found that as long as I was under the shade it was really not that bad especially when compared to our weather with lots of humidity. One thing I learned in a hurry, you do NOT go in the swimming pool without a towel really close for when you come out! Right Bruce?

I used to do landscaping when it was 110. Just drink lots of water and nap under the ceiling fan every so often.

The hottest I remember was 122. That was hot.

Spent 4yrs in Yuma, AZ. can't understand how anyone can like that heat.
I'll take the 4 seasons and enjoy the snowy winters over that desert any day.

I will take it any day. I cannot stand our summers here when you come out of the shower and cannot dry off due to the humidity. You might as well not even have taken a shower. Same goes for the swimming pool. Nothing worse than walking around in sweat soaked clothes and sweat dripping down you back! Its hot there but with the lack of humidity it is bearable.

By the 1972 model year, the insurance companies had a stranglehold on muscle cars. One of the ways Dodge sidestepped them was to drop the R/T moniker which had been tagged by the ins. companies and introduce the Challenger and Charger Rallye.

In 1963, major league baseball pitcher Gaylord Perry remarked, "They'll put a man on the moon before I hit a home run." On July 20, 1969, an hour after Neil Armstrong set foot on the surface of the moon, Perry hit is first, and only, home run while playing for the San Francisco Giants.

Agree with Rick on this one. Lived most all my life in NE Ohio and we do not have 4 seasons. We have minimum 5 months of winter, 6 or so weeks of oppressive dew points above 65 and 70. Spring ? That never happens.
On the up side September and some of October are beautiful.
