Picture looks great in black n white. John needed to get his CDL license from Yenko when he bought the car. Like driving a big rig with all the guages.

Copo_Cartel 11-08-2019 01:41 PM

John Weaver must’ve met John Glenn thinking he was going to fly in a rocket

Schonyenko2 11-08-2019 02:39 PM

Is that a reverb unit on the right?

Copo_Cartel 11-08-2019 03:24 PM

Hey Schonye. It’s the multiplex amplifier.

Mr. Chevy 11-08-2019 11:36 PM

I think it's the cockpit voice recorder AKA "the black box"... LOL

“Box”. Ok Rich....you have my attention !!!

Frank is doing a few final details including electrical check to the car. Like most guys going to Chicago...everyone is putting the final touches on their cars before heading to MCACN in Chicago. We will be on display on the corner in the Day2 section along with a Yenko Stinger Corvair presented by Andy Snetselaar of the Albaugh collection. Please stop by and see our Yenkos on display and say hello ...we enjoy this incredible show. Bob puts on the Super Bowl of muscle car shows and it is ran like a well oiled machine.

big gear head 11-13-2019 12:07 PM

Looking forward to seeing you, John and your Camaro.

JoeC 11-14-2019 11:58 AM

Doug

I know your Yenko paperwork shows G70x15 tires

I was wondering what you have for a tire decal in the glove box ?

was the original there?

Copo_Cartel 11-14-2019 01:23 PM

Hi Joe. Since John painted the car .... The tire decal in the glove box was gone. As we all try to understand Don Yenkos method of organized madness we assumed this was a detail that was never corrected and the original decal would’ve been for the 14 inch tires was our educated guess. I am sorry I could not be more helpful.

Copo_Cartel 11-18-2019 02:21 AM

Tires

Joe I spoke to John this evening in regards to the tires and this was his response and his recollection when he first saw the car at Yenko. When you look at the second page of my documentation and it is all factory options and the tires are on that page.

Not to beat a dead horse but I seem to remember the 15 wheels were on the car when I first looked at it
Ron Lane(original salesman) pointed out that it had the z28 wheels
That was a selling point for me .

JoeC 11-18-2019 12:47 PM

The 1967 Yenko wheel size is still a mystery as some information and original owners have said 14in and some 15in.

The 15in wheel was listed as a Yenko option but not sure if Yenko was able to get the 15 in wheel from the factory

I am not sure if the special order trim tag on some 67 Yenkos is tied in to the wheel size but some of the 67 Yenkos have the special order trim tag code and some don't

still working on it

Copo_Cartel 11-20-2019 07:57 PM

Safe travels to everyone we are loading as we speak and will be there tomorrow afternoon it will be exciting to be at another Super Bowl of muscle car shows

Kurt S 11-21-2019 04:34 AM

The wheel size would be a Chevrolet thing. The trim tag was for Fisher.

enio45 11-21-2019 01:59 PM

You guys are going to have a blast of the lifetime at the show - unfortunately i had to cancel my flight etc, but this show would have been to the one to see - so many new cars coming out, so little time :-)

Copo_Cartel 11-21-2019 10:38 PM

Wish you were coming Eddie....hope things are ok for you.

I was fortunate enough today to spend time talking with Lynn Yenko and we had a laugh or two. I was also fortunate enough to ask her to have a seat in the car and get a photo to share with everyone

Very impressive restoration as well as display of a very special Yenko. Congrats to all involved.

Copo_Cartel 12-01-2019 12:57 AM

Thank you Stefano...we wanted to honor John Weaver and his wife Robin...they were excited as well as very involved at the show. I also wanted to honor Franks great restoration work. It was a team effort that I am humbled by...ask Frank puts it ...we will do more with less. Thank you also for Nickey Sponsors Award (Pick). As far as the display...we wanted to honor the restoration, the car, Mr Weaver, and the Yenko name.
