Re: "Mindbender" '68 Phase III story
Whats the point of this photo bucket?. I have a wack of photo's already saved on my comp. Is it just a way to save space on your comp or is there some other reason to use it? I have even more that i saved to a disk.

Re: "Mindbender" '68 Phase III story
Are you sure the car isn't British Racing Green? It can appear black..
|
Re: "Mindbender" '68 Phase III story
I took the picture to my body guy today... he thought it was a dark blue. But now that you say it, I can see the green as well.
I told him I'm going with Black & Silver though... go with the Maco. |

So you would need to upload the pictures from your hard drive to a site like Photobucket, then you can link the pictures for everyone to see. |
Re: "Mindbender" '68 Phase III story
The car was black--looks like the car was parked on grass when they took the photo (color reflection)--
|
Re: "Mindbender" '68 Phase III story
Do you have any color pictures of it Joe?
|
Re: "Mindbender" '68 Phase III story
No--I had seen the car at Motion ---I was at the car show back when and it was black--

Awesome Photo. Like to know the issue as well, I am sure I have it, but finding it is another story.

Re: "Mindbender" '68 Phase III story
I've got more crappy b&w photos of the Supercar Club Camaro... it always appears white.
That article can't be all that old, because Muscle Car Review isn't that old of a magazine. I just got the 2 page article off of e-bay recently, the guy didn't know what issue it came from. All the photos came from Joel's personal collection. Would be cool if Mad Mike could scan all of Joel's photos for him https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif I'd even drive down & help https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif There's also mention of film (probably super-8?) footage as well... that is disappearing. |

Re: Supercar Club Camaro
Is Xeroxed that ad & sent in $5.00 with a nice letter requesting membership last Fall..
Tilden Automotive sent me a nice "Thank You" letter stating I should stay away from the brown acid & a Coupon booklet good for any repairs needed by Dec.29th. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif |
Re: Supercar Club Camaro

Re: Supercar Club Camaro
The place where I work out in Mountain View CA has a number of vintage (1960's television-related) ad's blown up to about 24" x 36" and framed, hanging on the wall. This is one ad that would look good like that.

Re: Supercar Club Camaro
The "white" car is actually butternut yellow and is Reb Browns '67 RS/SS car featured in Street Power magazine in mid to late '70's. Last wherabouts of car was in Conn.
I've seen that pic in one of the mags in color and it was definetly 100% butternut. Also Reb Brown claimed his car was the old Motion race car. |

Joe Mason /Conn,--had taken over the car after Motion, ---Maybe your friend Reb Brown picked it up from him???? |

Re: Supercar Club Camaro
Joe, is that '67 Olds on the cover a Motion prep car??? I see Markowitz on the side and know about the '68 Olds they prepped. I'd love to see the rest of the Motion stuff in that issue too. I don't have that one. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Re: Supercar Club Camaro
I think Reb Browns car is not the same as this one. Reb's car is an RS/SS model. The motion Joe G posted is a non RS car and was purchased from the Motion Supercar Club in '68 by Joe Mason who was the younger brother of Charlie Mason. Charlie was the original owner of my 67 BM Chevelle.
Here's Reb's car. https://www.yenko.net/attachments/63739-File0080.jpg |
Re: Supercar Club Camaro
https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif article and car COPO--------------I had to double check with someone who has a better memory than me-----That Camaro(B/M-Joe Mason)--was white---Just info--
