Re: 1971 Hugger Orange Camaro RS Z28 EBay
Thanks Belair, It has 55,010 original miles. I finished it in 1997. I even have the dealer install paperwork for the air shocks.

Re: 1971 Hugger Orange Camaro RS Z28 EBay
Chris,
No it was not me. As I recall That car is a decent full bumper non COPO car that popped up restored around 2000 (at least that is when I first noticed it) I was doing brake detail displays with my car as early as 1997. Attached is the link to the picture of my COPO from 1999 SCR 2. https://www.yenko.net/reunion/pbz28.jpg Phil https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif |
Re: 1971 Hugger Orange Camaro RS Z28 EBay

Re: 1971 Hugger Orange Camaro RS Z28 EBay
I understand. I was asking about the car I had on Ebay. It seems like if it has the wronf sway bar brackets its like a 69 Z or SS not having a welded exhaust plate.
Jason |
Re: 1971 Hugger Orange Camaro RS Z28 EBay
Jason,
There was more to it then just the sway bar. I also understand that the car was a no sale as well. Good Luck Rick H. |
Re: 1971 Hugger Orange Camaro RS Z28 EBay
Yes, it was. I'm planning on reauctioning for my friend but want to know how to list it correctly.

Re: 1971 Hugger Orange Camaro RS Z28 EBay
Jason...Have you seen the car in person? If not, I suggest you email Aces070 for his thoughts on the car.

Re: 1971 Hugger Orange Camaro RS Z28 EBay
Yes I have.

Re: 1971 Hugger Orange Camaro RS Z28 EBay
If the car is not what it's selling to be then I wouldn't be selling it for anyone. How's a lawsuit sound? I'd get my $ss outta there.

Re: 1971 Hugger Orange Camaro RS Z28 EBay
If you think the pictures of Phils car are nice you should see it In Person.
The car is Stunning. Once Again Phil….. Nice Car!!!. Mark L BTW, SuperNovaSS you seem like a nice guy so if I were you I would be very carefull about selling that car as a Real Z/28 |
Re: 1971 Hugger Orange Camaro RS Z28 EBay
I've decided that was a mistake and after learning more with the help of you guys it will be sold as a replica.

Re: 1971 Hugger Orange Camaro RS Z28 EBay
Good Move Jason…. That is a Great Looking car, you should have no problem selling
it. Unfortunately fraud is becoming a real big problem in this hobby and there is lot of litigation going on due to people not doing their homework and finding out down the road that they just spent a lot of money on the Muscle car they have been saving for and dreaming about since collage and it turns out to be a Fake. Good Luck Mark L |
Re: 1971 Hugger Orange Camaro RS Z28 EBay
Jason was very up front and honest,, the owner of the car was the real problem,, I do not think Jason misreped the car on purpose,, he was going on what the owner shared with him,, but,,, that doesnt make it right, we spent better than $600 between flights and rental cars to buy the car,, hopefully someone got a $600 lesson besides my Son.. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/scholar.gif

Re: 1971 Hugger Orange Camaro RS Z28 EBay

Ray, The '70 and '71 rear sway bar upper attachement brackets are welded to the frame rails. I have a '70 Z28 project car with the brackets still attached and they are welded to the frame rails. We have a customers '71 Z in the shop and the brackets are welded on that car as well. That is the way I have seen them on the 70 and 71 Z/28 models. Rick [/ QUOTE ] I have learned alot from this site... I THOUGHT I knew alot about 2ND GEN Camaro's, but, I guess I have more to learn yet. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif I am very glad I have become part of this site. P.S.
