SS<font color="red">427</font>, here is a picture of my Dad's Fathom Blue 68 SS396 taken in Oct 68 at the Hillbillies Car Show in Knoxville TN. This was the only car that my parents owned and it was a daily driver. Lots of chrome under the hood and bottom of the car. I have a bunch of pictures of his 66 Chevelle he bought new, plus the few of our 71 Z28 that ran E &amp; F Stock at Bristol, and then there is an oddball that I will post below also..........RatPack...........

Interesting. While digging last night I found a slide of me shoveling with a 68 SS Camaro in the driveway. Not sure color or engine. Gonna develop that one to. Great pic. Let's keep em coming!

Here is another picture with a kid thinking something was funny [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]. Notice also the car has the Z rear deck stripes and it has headrests also. The stripes were added only on the rear at the dealer before delivery in Nov 67...............RatPack..................

Here is the 71 Z28 that never saw street duty. When he sold the car in 1976 it had 531 miles showing on the odometer. It was recently sold to another drag racer after sitting since 1976 and the car still shows that on the odometer. It ran both E/S and F/S at Bristol and I think it may have had the track record for one season for one of those classes. I cannot remember for sure............RatPack................

Here is the original Rat Pack from 1971 at Bristol. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/worship.gif[/img] This is actually his third Camaro after running a 68 &amp; a 69 Camaro. Then Wally jumped ship with an excellent offer from AMC and drove a Gremlin [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif[/img].

I can tell I am going to have to go home and start digging out some old photos. These are great. If anyone has good underhood shots, please include them. It is really nice to see how they really came delivered as far as underhood stuff.

Slide development will be done tonight. I will pick them up tonight and bring them along to Vettefest. Unfortunately I cannot post them until Monday because my scanner is at work. One more picture of my camaro. I gave a BIG copy of this to Herbie Fox and told him nobody would see it . So I lied!! Notice Herbie drove off the ramp when unloading. Notice jack under the wheel. I think it's kind of funny. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/haha.gif[/img]

This is a really cool pic. My mothers scrap book said that the car belonged to a guy that they met in 1967 from New York. Check out the Snow Tires!

Here is a pic of a "Street Freak" Firebird convertible circa 1974. Car had a tunnel rammed 427. Car is in front of Community Motors in St. Clairsville, Ohio which sold auto parts, speed equipment and gas. Checkout the cool pumps.

Graphics was painted in one night and the painter consumed a mass quantity of beer according to the original builder. Car was called the "Wonderbread" car. Several decades and 4 owners later, the dad of the latest owner got tired of the car taking up space and a backtalking son and pulled the car out of the garage, poured gas on it and set it on fire. I have pics of the burnt out hull after it was dragged down in the gulley behind their garage. It is still there.
