Re: Unrestored LS6 value?
Sweet car. I think the Black vinyl top actually helps with this color in my opinion. I'm not sure how it will effect it's value though. GLWS,I hope it finds an appreciative new owner.

True,but on wrong tire size.
|
Re: Unrestored LS6 value?
Is that a orig. engine pad stamping ?
|
Re: Unrestored LS6 value?
Charley
That's the TH400 showing the VIN stamping, not the engine pad Other then the T0209CRR engine pad stamping,I've yet to see any more of it. |
Re: Unrestored LS6 value?
I was asking about the pic of the CRR engine stamping
|
Re: Unrestored LS6 value?
That engine pad stamping is original?????
|
Re: Unrestored LS6 value?
Engine stamp looks good.
|
Re: Unrestored LS6 value?

Re: Unrestored LS6 value?
I'm not the expert some of you guys are but that engine stamp looks suspect to me.

Here's as real as it gets! Compare.. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...5-img_3098.jpg |
Re: Unrestored LS6 value?
Misty T. Tona looks legit from that photo to me,but I've asked em to show a close up of the metal graining as well as the VIN# stamped next to it further down.
And have one certain unique characteristic to it too.So far no reply. The engines VIN# font should match identically to that on the TH400. Original short style lugnuts are on that wheel too. |

Bill </div></div> It wasn't plant specific. Seen many Dual Dual on KC built & other plants cars. And single Dual on Arlington cars too. |

Re: Unrestored LS6 value?
Yes sir.

Re: Unrestored LS6 value?
Iam confused is the car being auctioned of on line ?? or is denver car auction a auctual live auction?thanks
|
Re: Unrestored LS6 value?
It's being auctioned off in person in Denver starting at noon central time tomorrow..
The opening bid they will start it at is whatever the online amount is when that will close at 11:59AM tomorrow. If nobody bids anything over that final online amount, then the online High bidder is the winner. If somebody offers more then the online amount in Denver tomorrow, then they win. At least that's how I'm reading it. |
Re: Unrestored LS6 value?
Do all the LS6 experts think that is the orig. engine pad stamp ?
|
Re: Unrestored LS6 value?
I've asked repeatedly for a closer up photo as well as the VIN# stamped further down on it.
So far no reply back, which kinda raises a red flag for me. Now @ 59K.. |
Re: Unrestored LS6 value?
No sale?

According to the intro to a 1983 article in Super Chevy , Bill Petriko of Triple A Enterprises already was repopping window stickers.. "For years,, he has been selling exact reproduction window stickers for Chevrolets, Corvettes, Novas, Chevelles, Camaros and other models." So, it was being done WAY before 1986. </div></div> FWIW rarely do I speak in absolutes however I have never seen a correct reproduction 1969 Camaro window sticker. The ECL codes are NEVER correct! |
Re: Unrestored LS6 value?
How do you know that you have seen one and didn't know it?
